Tri-flex

At Tribelt, we produce our Tri-Flex metal conveyor belts entirely in-house, from design to realisation. These high-quality belts consist of hinged links, allowing them to not only follow straight paths, but also flow smoothly through curves.

Thanks to our many years of expertise and precision manufacturing, Tri-Flex belts are reliable, durable, and suited to demanding industrial applications. At Tribelt, we combine high-quality materials, thoughtful design, and precise manufacturing to give you a belt that performs reliably under extreme conditions. With our expertise in customisation, engineering, and drive systems, we help keep your installation running smoothly, with a belt that is built to reduce downtime and support consistent product quality.

    • Straight belt run: 270 — 2000 mm
  • Temperature range:
    • Spiral towers: -50 °C to 100 °C
    • Straight belt run: cryogenic up to approx. 400 °C
  • Possibility of integrated side guards
  • Round recess in links for optimal contact surface
  • Pigtails for perfect positioning and extra safety

Applications
Tri-Flex belts are frequently used in installations where foodstuffs are cooled or heated in a controlled manner.

Typical processes are:

  • Cooling
  • Freezing
  • Pasteurising
  • Smoking
  • Cooking

Thanks to their flexible construction, these belts are well suited to spiral tower installations, such as freezing and cooling towers. They are also used in straight transport lines, for example in shock freezing with liquid nitrogen."

Benefits

  • Curved running possible: flexible design allows turning in tight radius
  • Versatile: suitable for both spiral and straight systems
  • Hygienic design: no protruding wire ends, suited to food processing
  • Precision manufacturing: consistent finish for reliable running and long service life
  • Maintenance advantage: belts can be reversed for longer service life
  • Customization: fully tailored to your installation, including strength calculation

Options

  • Spiral deck with variable pitch and wire thickness
  • Unilateral weaving for small pitches (< 4.25 mm)
  • Various stainless steel material combinations
  • Integrated side guards for specific product guidance
  • Various support systems: radial striping (spiral) or herringbone pattern (straight)
  • Custom welding and finishing options, tailored to your installation

Drives
Tri-Flex belts are driven by a combination of drum friction and specially developed drive wheels.

  • Drive wheels: in-house produced, fully customised. Recommended number of teeth: 12 — 24. Width: usually 45 — 55 mm (customer-specific possible). Materials: POM, PE1000, AISI303, AISI 1045. With or without keyway/tap hole.
  • Wide angle of rotation (±180°) for strong grip
  • Placement: on drive shaft and, if necessary, drive shafts for direction correction
  • Alignment crucial: the right balance between drum speed and gear drive (overdrive) for trouble-free operation
FAQs
What is a Tri-Flex conveyor belt and what is it suitable for?

The Tri-Flex conveyor belt from Tribelt is designed for industrial processes with curves and height differences. This stainless steel belt is widely used in freezing and cooling towers, pasteurisers, smoke systems and cooking lines in the food industry.

What temperatures can a Tri-Flex conveyor belt handle?

Depending on the configuration, the belt operates from -50°C to +100°C in spiral tower installations, and up to approximately +400°C in straight belt runs, for example in shock freezing with liquid nitrogen or high-temperature applications such as baking or smoking.

What materials does the Tri-Flex conveyor belt come in?

Tribelt supplies the Tri-Flex conveyor belt in stainless steel, such as AISI 304, AISI 301, AISI 316L and AISI 316. These materials offer corrosion resistance, hygiene and a long service life.

What are the benefits of a Tri-Flex conveyor belt?

The Tri-Flex conveyor belt offers:

  • Design freedom: straight and curved sections in one belt
  • High load-bearing capacity
  • Hygienic construction, without protruding wire ends
  • Temperature resistance up to 400°C
  • A reversible belt for a longer service life

Tribelt also assists you with engineering advice and installation support on location.

Is a Tri-Flex conveyor belt customized for my production line?

Yes. Each Tri-Flex conveyor belt is custom-made, including bandwidth, wire thickness, spiral pitch, material and drive system, so it fits your freezing, cooling or thermal installation. Delivery times depend on the configuration. Because design, engineering and production all happen in-house at our Haaksbergen facility, we can respond quickly to project deadlines.
