Balanced weave belts

At Tribelt, we produce our open spiral belts entirely in-house. Thanks to their open structure, they are particularly suitable for processes where ventilation, permeability or temperature resistance are essential. Whether it concerns high temperatures in industrial ovens, sterilization processes in the pharmaceutical industry or transport in drying installations, our open spiral belts provide reliable performance under the most demanding conditions.

A Tribelt open spiral belt is more than just a means of transport: it is a crucial link in the continuity of your production process. Thanks to the robust construction, versatile application options and customized options, we offer a transport solution that perfectly matches your installation. With our in-house production, we not only guarantee top quality and customization, but also the certainty that your tire performs optimally day in, day out, even under the most demanding conditions.

Specifications

Our open spiral belts are available in various versions, including standard wide spiral belts, crushed variants, positively driven versions (ClearTrac) and models with special edge finishes, such as U-hooks.

  • Stitch: approx. 3.8 — 35 mm
  • Urgent: approx. 2.7 — 20 mm
  • Thread types: spiral wire Ø 0.8 — 3.5 mm (also crushed version), plug-in wire Ø 0.8 — 5 mm
  • Materials: various types of wire, tensile strengths 600 — 1050 N/mm², stainless steel and special alloys
  • Temperature range: ambient temperature up to approximately 1,150°C (depending on version)
  • Bandwidth: 15 — 6,500 mm
  • Versions: standard, crushed, with U-hook or positively driven by gears

Applications

Tribelt Open Spiral Belts are used worldwide in various sectors:

  • Food industry: oven belts for bread and pastries, cooling, baking and frying lines for potato and vegetable products
  • Pharmaceutical industry: sterilization tunnels and drying installations
  • Industrial processing: drying tunnels for insulation materials, glass industry (tempering processes), metalworking (hardening, sintering, brazing)
  • Special transport tasks: takeover installations with sharp curves or minimal takeovers, transport at high temperatures

Benefits

  • Produced entirely in-house: fast delivery times and consistent quality
  • Flexible construction: each spiral and insert rotates independently for optimal flexibility
  • Widely deployable: from very open to tightly woven structures
  • High temperature resistance: up to 1,150°C, depending on material
  • Straight belt loop: guaranteed by alternating left/right spirals or gear guidance
  • Cost-effective: especially the standard and crushed versions offer an excellent price-quality ratio
  • Low maintenance requirements: robust design and durable material

Options

  • Special product carriers for stable positioning
  • Lateral chains for extra guidance
  • Raised side plates for product preservation
  • Carriers for carrying or positioning products
  • Various materials and wire sizes to choose from
  • Edge finish as desired: welded, crushed or with U-hook

Drives

Depending on the type of tire, there are two main forms of drive:

  1. Friction drive: used in standard and crushed wide spiral belts and U-hook versions. Requires a sufficiently large drive roller and appropriate support, for example a herringbone profile with a PE1000 contact surface.
  2. Positive drive with gears: like the Cleartrac tire. Prevents tire slip and ensures a straight run, even with larger width/length ratios.
    • Gears are manufactured in-house according to customer specifications
    • Available, among other things, in POM or stainless steel, with options for drilling, keyway and securing
FAQs
What are balanced weave belts and what industrial applications do they have?

Balanced weave belts are metal conveyor belts with a spiral insert pattern. They are used in, among others, the food industry, pharmaceutical sector and technical production processes. Ideal for applications such as oven belts, cooling belts, sterilization tunnels and drying installations.

What types of Balanced weave belts does Tribelt supply?

Tribelt produces, among others:

  • Wide spiral belt (WG)
  • ClearTrac Belt (positively driven conveyor belt)
  • Crushed Spiral Belt
  • U-hook version

These variants are suitable for a wide range of applications, from high-temperature transport to hygienic food processing.

What are the benefits of a custom balanced weave belt from Tribelt?

A custom balanced weave belt offers:

  • Optimal straight belt run
  • Choice of open or closed weaving
  • High temperature resistance up to 1150 °C
  • Low hook sensitivity
  • Many options such as carriers, side plates and chain drive

This way, the belt fits perfectly with your production process.

Are balanced weave belts suitable for high temperature processes?

Yes. Depending on the material, certain types can be used as a high-temperature conveyor belt for processes such as sintering, brazing, hardening, glass production and oven lines in the food industry.
